From the Director's Desk
Welcome to VBPS
As a MD I am pleased to welcome prospective students and the parents who have shown interest in becoming a part of the ever increasing VBPS family. Currently “ learning is motivated by a system of rewards and punishments rather than by curiosity or by any real desire to know.” Even though researchers have shown that people of all ages learn best when they are self-motivated.
The pillars of a healthy education are curiosity, playfulness and socialability. We cannot make a horse drink water unless the horse is thirsty. VBPS motivates its teachers to provide such types of atmosphere where students learn spontaneously, rote learning is discouraged and research based learning is the norm where pupil is guided through smart classes, projectors, activities, labs and with lots of live examples accordingly to topics for eg. Banks for banking knowledge, railway station for booking and reservation knowledge, historical places for historical knowledge.
We also give stress on values based education. Time to time, our students visit with teachers to old home, orphan houses . They meet with elders and orphan children listen their problems and feel their pain. They help them in their works and share food with them.
Nothing can fill joy in your leisure hours than good books. As Francis Bacon has rightly said," Reading maketh a full man; conference a ready man and writing an exact man.” Our school offers the best reading atmosphere with a rich library of variety of books that cater every taste of the young readers and ignite their minds. Our quest for young musician have prompted to rear a music room with various musical instruments and a drawing room with Canvas boards for young artists.
Healthy minds dwell in healthy bodies. Without sports and games, education will remain drab and monotonous work. To rejuvenate young students outdoor activities play a great role. Games and plays fill them with vigor and energy and inculcate precious values in them.
The dream “to provide quality based education a tiny sapling was shown before 40 years, now it has flourished in to a full-fledged blossoming tree …. “. Much has been done these past 40 years but still more neads to be done to the years to come before I go to long sleep. May God help us to reach at our goal.
